25 | On January 8, 2023, at 2:31 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kendal Zirbes met with Facility Representative Jade Wilkinson. The purpose of the inspection was to conduct a health and safety check on the new climbing structure in the outdoor play space. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the facility representative. Present during today’s inspection were 57 napping preschool children, with five staff members providing care and supervision.
LPA and Administrator conducted a tour of the preschool outdoor activity space. LPA observed a new play structure has been installed. Currently the play structure is not being utilized as during installation staff observed required parts were missing. The Center has placed caution tape in front of the play structure indicating the structure is off limits. Per conversation with the Administrator, rubber flooring cushioning material will be installed under the play structure.
While the play structure is not in use, the Center provides alternative activities for the children such as chalk, trikes, and balls.
LPA advised the Center to notify the Department when construction on the outdoor play structure has been completed.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Administrator April Dogero. |
