On 12/12/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Isabel Ortega met with Narciso Aguilar, Permit Teacher and conducted an Annual Random Inspection. LPA toured and inspected the facility in accordance with the facility sketch. During inspection LPA observed thirty-four children in care and eight staff providing care and supervision. Facility operates in three classrooms referred to as the Preschool Center serving ages 2 years to 5-year-olds with a Toddler component starting at 18 months to 36 months. Facility has two outdoor play yards, a waiver staggered schedule is in place.

Facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Facility provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack for children enrolled. A menu is available upon request and menu is posted in the kitchen and in the classroom. According to Staff currently no children have reported food allergies. There is hot running water in the kitchen preparation area. According to staff filtered water is utilized for any food preparation.

An isolation area is available which takes place in the main office. Children have the option for rest time and quiet time if needed. Age-appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, toilets flush properly. Each restroom has adequate toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels available. Restrooms are cleaned, restocked of toiletries, disinfected and sanitized daily by on-site custodian worker.

Children are provided with cots for nap time. Blankets and sheets are provided by the facility. Blankets and sheets are washed once a week or as needed on site.

According to Staff, there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA did not observe any bodies of water during this inspection. According to Staff there are no weapons nor guns at the facility. LPA did not observe any weapons or guns at the facility during inspection.
The furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and AC ventilation was evaluated. LPA observed individual storage for children's belongings.

Facility has all the required posted documents: Facility License, Notice of Parent's Rights Poster, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist.

Facility sampled water for lead on and results were reviewed on 10/19/2023. According to facility children are provided with non contaminated water and individual disposable cups are available. LPA observed caps with lock on water fixtures and bags on water fountains not in use. LPA observed water dispensers in each classroom. Children have the option to bring their own drinking water. During outdoor play a water pitcher is filled with filter water disposable cups are available.

First Aid supplies, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide were observed to be operating properly. The fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is reading in green, the Fire extinguisher was last serviced on 12/04/2024 (LPA observed a yellow tag with date hole punched).

Trash cans with tight lids were observed. Food was inspected, and are properly labeled, stored, and within expiration date. Cleaning supplies are out of reach of children.

Emergency Drills are conducted every sixth month last drill was conducted and documented on 8/20/2024 at 10:00 a.m.



Food allergies are noted and are posted in the food area and in each classroom as needed.

The outdoor play area was inspected and observed to be free of hazards, loose, or sharp objects. Equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair. During outdoor play children have access to filter drinking water, children's individual bottles are taken outside during outdoor play.

Children's records were reviewed for completeness. Health History, Emergency contact and Medical Exams; Immunization Records are all in the children's file. The facility roster was up to date and all staff have been fingerprinted and association to the designated license number.

Staff is currently certified in Pediatric CPR/First Aid which does not expire until 10/12/2026.

All staff are required to take the Child Care Provider Mandated Reporter (AB1207) training every 2 years. www.mandatedreporterca.com. Staff provided current Mandated Reporter Training certificates dated 8/9/2024.

Upon hired date all staff are required to be immunized and show proof of immunization records according to Title 22 regulations.

Beginning on January 1, 2018, Assembly Bill 1207 (2015) requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years. New employees shall have 90 days from date of employment to complete training as required. The training may be conducted at the following website www.mandatedreporterca.com.



According to facility documentation all staff are aware they are mandated child abuse reporters and have the responsibility of reporting any suspected child abuse to the Child Abuse Hot line at (800) 540-4000. Child Care Mandated Reporter training certificate is dated 6/2024.
