25 | On 09/12/22 at 01:01 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Rajani Goudreau conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Director, Lynn Leavitt. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. The following ratios were observed: Classroom #303 (four children/two staff members), classrooms #304 and 404B (11 children/two staff members). Following classrooms in operation: #303, #304, 404B and Fellowship hall. There were 15 children present with four staff members. Classrooms #306, #309, #402 and #403 are currently not in use due to low enrollment. This is a full day program which operates year around; Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises, per observation and directors’ statement. There are no weapons, firearms or ammunition on the premises, per director. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items were made inaccessible, per observation. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Furniture and equipment in the classrooms were observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The playground equipment and play materials were observed to be in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space was observed to be maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All toilets and hand washing facilities were observed to be in safe and sanitary operating condition. The floors in the facility were observed to clean and safe. The kitchen, food preparation and storage areas were observed to be clean. Solid waste storage containers were observed to have tight-fitting covers and in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors by the use of refillable water pitcher and reusable/disposable cups provided by the facility. Areas around high climbing equipment were observed to have sufficient cushioning material by the use of sand to absorb falls. Shade was observed in the outdoor activity space by the use of Shade kites and a building awning. Based on observation, the facility has a first aid kit and a functioning carbon monoxide detector that meets statutory requirements. |
