25 | On 1/24/2024 at 9:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with the Director, Delia Salcido. There were 13 staff present at the facility and no children during the time of inspection.
On 1/23/2024, the Director notified the Department that on 1/22/2024, due to major flooding the licensed classrooms #2, #3, #4, #7, & #8 were temporarily relocated to the King Hall and Youth Center on the premises. On 12/8/2021, the fire marshal approved a fire clearance adding the King Hall and Youth Center. The five classrooms were temporarily closed. The facility was temporarily closed on 1/23/2024.
During the inspection, LPA toured the classrooms that were damaged and the bathrooms that will temporarily be used for the children. The bathrooms will be use by children until the restoration of the classrooms are completed. Director requested to utilize two bathrooms located outside of the King Hall building. There are two separate bathrooms that have one toilet and one sink each, which is sufficient to accommodate the 23 children that will be located in the Youth Center. LPA observed signs posted outside of the bathrooms displaying that the bathrooms are for children's use only.
Director was reminded to contact LPA upon the completion of the restoration of the classrooms. The bathrooms are approved for use by the day care children effective today, January 24, 2024.
No deficiencies cited. An exit interview was conducted with Director, Delia Salcido. A copy of this report, Appeal Rights, and Notice of Site Visit were provided. Notice of Site Visit is required to be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. LPA observed Notice of Site Visit posted on the bulletin board. |
