25 | On 9/25/2024 at 1:20pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection for the purpose of adding a classroom and inspecting new playground equipment. LPA met with Director, Roberta Blick and was led on a tour of the facility. There were 47 children and seven staff members present. The facility is requesting to add room A206 to utilize as an art room; however after the inspection Director, Roberta Blick decided that the room would not be needed due to insufficient space.
The facility has a capacity of 48 children and serves children ages 4 – 5 years old in classrooms , 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and Auditorium, Courtyard, Canyon,Turf and Blue playground. This program operates September through mid-June. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm.
During today’s inspection, LPA inspected the Canyon Playground. The playground equipment is in safe condition and is age appropriate. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Outdoor play area is fenced with sufficient rubber cushioning. Play area has a cover area used for shade. Per Director, canopies will be added to the playground. Children bring their own water bottles and the facility provides filtered drinking water. There are two restrooms located near the playground for children's use.
Effective 9/25/2024, the playground is ready for children's use. No deficiencies cited during time of inspection. Exit interview conducted with Heather Gray, Principal. Notice of Site Visit was given and shall be posted for 30 days from today’s date. Failure to comply with posting requirements will result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
