On 3/25/22 at 12:30p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Casey Gulley conducted an unannounced complaint inspection regarding the above allegation. LPA met with Director and discussed the purpose for the visit. LPA toured the facility with Director. LPA observed 30 children in care and four (4) staff at the time of visit.

This agency has investigated the complaint alleging mask are not required. During the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with Director, multiple staff, daycare children, and parents. Director denied the allegation, explaining extra precautions implemented during the pandemic. According to the Director, face masks have been a requirement at the facility since March 2020. Multiple interviews conducted revealed mask are a requirement for staff and children. Based on records reviewed parents and authorized guardians were informed via email regarding the facility's mask requirements. During the facility’s tour on 1/20/22 LPA observed mask requirement postings throughout facility and all staff and children wearing a face mask.

Based on interviews conducted and records review, LPA determined face masks are a requirement for staff, children, parents, and all other individuals entering the facility during operating hours; however, due to inconsistent statements obtained, LPA was unable to determine if mask were required at all times.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. No deficiencies were cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Heather Corey.
