25 | On April 3rd, 2024, at 7:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted an unannounced case management visit to inspect the recently revised playground. LPA met with Staff Yanitza Patino and disclosed the purpose of the inspection. Director Laura Phillips soon afterwards arrived to the facility. Staff Patino accompanied LPA on a tour of the renovated playground.
This facility was recently selected by the Empathy in Nature Project for a playground renovation. Work upon the revised playground began on 02/26/2024 and was completed on 04/01/2024. The facility was on spring break from 03/25/2024 to 04/01/2024.
The facility has two (2) playgrounds. The playground next to the classrooms is the toddler playground. The renovated playground is for preschool children. During this visit, the renovated playground was inspected. The playground area is within walking distance to the classrooms, which allows children to reach the outdoor activity spaces in a safe manner. There are no high climbing equipment or swings. There is shaded rest area. The renovated playground was observed to be free of hazards including, but not limited to, holes, broken glass and other debris, and dry grasses that pose a fire hazard. Use of the new renovated playground is approved for use.
A notice of site visit was given to Director Laura Phillips and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Laura Phillips. |
