Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Nicole Hage and conducted a tour of the facility. Applicant is requesting to keep the same capacity of 90 preschooler (ages 2 to Kindergarten) in classrooms 1-4, TLC1 and TLC3. Facility's hours of operation is Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5pm. Present during today’s inspection were 47 children in five different classrooms supervised by 9 staff members. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Nicole Hage that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and remeasured the playground 4 (parking lot) outdoor area as it was reduced to a smaller area for the expansion of the infant play area. Total indoor activity space was previously measured to be 4246.41 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of the 90 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via the children's water bottles and it gets refill with the filtered water that the facility provides. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. Director stated that there are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 06/18/2024.
LPA observed a total of 11 sinks and 8 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 90 children.
