Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nacole Patterson conducted an unannounced visit to initiate a complaint investigation regarding the above-mentioned allegation. LPA identified herself and met with Executive Director Launa Moore to discuss the purpose of the visit and elements of the complaint.

On 6/19/23 it was alleged that the Licensee did not include the facility's license number in a local newspaper advertisement during the month of January 2023. The Department's investigation consisted of an unannounced facility visit and review of outside source records. Outside source records review for the newspaper named in the complaint during January 2023 showed 6 of 6 online advertisements placed by La Marea Senior Living to include the license number. Outside source records review showed 8 of 8 print advertisements in the physical newspaper editions during January 2023 to include the license number. No Licensee advertisements in any edition of the paper in question during January 2023 were found to be without the license number.

Based on outside source records review, the allegation "License number was not included in an advertisement, as required" is unfounded, meaning it was false, could not have happened, and/or is without a reasonable basis. The allegation has therefore been dismissed. An exit interview was conducted with Executive Director Launa Moore, to whom a copy of this report and the Licensee/Appeal Rights (LIC9058 03/22) were provided
