25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Hannah Rodgers and Rebecca Borunda conducted an announced Pre-Licensing visit. LPAs met with and were granted entry by Applicants Enedina Rangel and Eurydece Randle. The purpose of today's visit is to inspect the facility and ensure that it is in compliance with California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6. The fire inspection was completed on 8/23/2024 and the facility is approved for 6 ambulatory clients in bedrooms 1, 2, 3, and 4, all located on the second floor.
During today's visit, LPAs with Applicants Rangel and Randle toured the interior and exterior of the facility and inspected each room. Pathways were free of obstruction and slip hazards. Client bedrooms contained the required furnishings. Doors, toilets, and showers were in working order. Extra linens and hygiene supplies were present. LPAs observed locked storage areas where all hazardous and/or toxic chemicals were stored and secured. LPAs observed locked storage for client medications, client records, and staff records. Fire extinguishers were observed throughout the facility and found to be in compliance. A functioning carbon monoxide detector and smoke detectors were observed in the facility. No bodies of water were observed on the premises. LPAs did not observe any aspects of delayed egress or secured perimeter. LPAs observed 7-day supply of non-perishable food.
Review of the facility's sketch and fire clearance revealed that a room listed on the facility sketch as a staff office on the first floor is set up and intended to be a client bedroom. Per fire clearance, only bedrooms 1, 2, 3, and 4 are approved for client use. Applicants will submit an updated facility sketch indicating the first floor bedroom will be used as a client bedroom for fire clearance approval.
At this time the pre-licensing is incomplete. LPAs did not conduct Component III training with applicants. A follow up pre-licensing visit will be scheduled upon notice of updated fire clearance. An exit interview was conducted with Applicants Rangel and Randle, whose signature below confirms receipt of a copy of this report. |
