Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kelli Waters, conducted a Case Management visit to follow up on Complaint that was submitted to Licensing by the facility on 05/24/24. LPA met with Interim Center Director Jerona Nguyen. LPA Waters conducted a tour of facility, interviewed staff and reviewed records.

During the center tour, it was noted that no working Carbon Monoxide detectors were present in Building 1 and Building 2 where the preschool license is located. Director Nguyen attempted to test the present carbon monoxide detector in Building 1 and it did not work. There was no carbon monoxide detector present in Building 2.

In addition, during the tour LPA Waters observed staff not using general sanitation practices during diaper changes for 5 children in 2-year-old room. Staff did not wash hands between changes or sanitize the changing station between children.

Licensee will be cited under Health and Safety code and Title 22. See 809-D for cited deficiencies.

An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provided.
A copy of this report must be made available to the public, at the facility site, for 3 years.
