Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the licensee, Sara Sharif Mousavi. The home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. There were 2 daycare children present. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational.

First Aid and CPR certifications for licensee expires January 2024. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee has a completed Mandated Reporter Training certificate that expires July 2025.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare include: Daycare room, Sick room, Front yard, and bathroom 1. Off limits areas include: Bedroom 3, Bathroom 2, Kitchen, Back Yard, and garage and they are inaccessible through use of safety gates and locked doors. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced front yard with an exit door that has been approved by the fire department available for outdoor activities.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
