25 | On 2/21/25 at 1:20 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Annette Sutherland and JC Valdez conducted an unannounced Annual Licensing Inspection. LPAs were greeted at the front door by Licensee, Shabana Raziqu and Jamal Raziqi and granted entry . LPAs toured the 2 story home. Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. The licensee's are using the following areas for daycare: Living room, family room, kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Off limit areas include: All upstairs, garage, front and back yard. Licensees use nearby park for outdoor activities and are reminded that adult supervision is required at all times. The licensees have sufficient toys and equipment available. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Licensees state that there are no weapons in the home. First Aid and CPR certifications are up to date (taken 5/2023). Licensees have required immunizations. Licensees are exempt from Mandated Reporter Training due to language barrier. Children’s and Staff records were reviewed and found to be in order. LPA obtained an updated facility roster and observed required documents are posted in an area accessible to parent/guardians. Licensees are reminded of the following: Report suspected child abuse and neglect, maintain children’s records according to regulation, post all required forms; corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, and jumpers are not allowed in day care. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. |
