25 | On 3/1/23 at 12:37 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Annette Sutherland conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the Licensee. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee Elizabeth Garibay. Also, in the home was licensee’s husband Mario Brito and adult niece helper Jessica Garibay. Licensee was provided the Inspection Checklist (LIC 126). The two-story home is divided into two apartments a lower and upper unit. There is another family living in the upper unit, occupants have been fingerprinted and are clear. The home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present in the home were 6-day care children. Licensee provided LPA copy of facility roster.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare include Daycare room, kitchen, living room, bathroom #1, and backyard. Off limits areas include entire 2nd unit upstairs, office, laundry room, bedroom #1 and bedroom #2 and are inaccessible through use of doorknob covers. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA conducted childcare quality management interview with the Licensee.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. Fire drill was last conducted on 2/17/23. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. |
