25 | On 2/28/2022, LPA Joelle Redding conducted an announced comprehensive visit for the purpose of a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant presented evidence of control of property/lease agreement. LPA confirmed with that all adults living in the home have been fingerprint cleared and associated with the facility and have met all the immunization requirements. Applicant has provided evidence of the completion of the required 16-hr. Health and Safety training to include a Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate with A-B-Cpr, valid through 12/21/23.
A tour of the home was conducted. The home is two stories with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a two-car garage. The following areas will be used for child care: All areas with the exception of the master bedroom, master bathroom and the garage. Off limits areas have been secured with latches or door knob covers. Applicant has been informed that all items that indicate "keep out of reach of children" are to be made inaccessible and there are no toxics, poisons or other hazardous items noted during this visit. The dual smoke detector/carbon monoxide (located on the wall by the downstairs bathroom and upstairs) The fire extinguisher meets Licensing regulation size (2A10BC or larger), is fully charged, easily accessible, and located in the kitchen. There is a sufficient amount of age-appropriate toys, books and games for children, in good condition. There are no bodies of water or firearms/weapons/ammunition on the premises. The back yard is fully fenced with safe, age-appropriate play structures and toys. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
