25 | On 6/29/22 at 8:45 AM LIcensibng Program Analyst Analyst LPA Adrian Mangina conducted a Case Management Licensee initiated/Increase in capacity inspection of home with Licensees Zahir and Akhtar Nuristani. The purpose of the visit is to ensure that the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3. Licensee was in ratio with no children in care and their own 2 minor children.
The four Bedroom three bathroom, two story home, was toured and inspected to ensure a safe and healthful environment for children. The 2A10BC fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are operational. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Licensee Zahir'a CPR and First aid certifications are valid through 9/23/22 and Mandated reporter training was completed 9/2420. Licensee Akhtar's CPR and First aid certifications are valid through 2/19/24 and Mandated reporter training was completed 4/8/22. The following areas are used for the child care: living room, kitchen dining room and sitting area. Off limit areas include: entire second floor and attached garage. All poisons, cleaners, and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Electrical outlets are tamper resistant and window cords are kept out of reach. There are sufficient and appropriate toys and equipment available in the home and backyard for children’s use. Outdoor play area is a fenced backyard. Licensee reminded that visual supervision is required at all times when children are outside.
All adults in the facility have submitted or been cleared for criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Licensees were reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
