25 | On 6/23/25 at 12:50 pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gerald Poindexter conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee, Helda Yousif. Also present was the licensee’s husband/helper Wasim Korael and their four minor children (one under 10 years old) There were two daycare children present, including one under 24 months of age. Licensee states hours of operation are from 6:00 am to 12:00 am, seven days per week. The licensee was provided with the Inspection Checklist (LIC 126). The 3-bedroom, 2-bath, one-story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children.
The licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare include living room, dining room, second bedroom on the right down the hallway, master bedroom and bath, hallway bathroom, and backyard. During inspection, licensee requested making the second bedroom on the right on-limits, instead of the first bedroom on the right, which she wanted to make off limits. Licensee states she had already been using those bedrooms in that fashion for child care, without notifying the Department of the change. Master bedroom had drawers thatare latched, as well as latched cabinet inside the master bedroom closet. Master bathroom was free of hazards. Off limit areas are now kitchen and the first bedroom on the right, and within that bedroom, the connecting garage, which has been converted to a bedroom. Kitchen drawers and cabinets were latched. Off limits bedroom is latched. LPA observed lever lock for the door.
The home has a fully-fenced, bckyard play area available for outdoor activities. Outdoor play area is in good condition. No hazards were noted. The licensee understands that visual supervision is always required during outdoor activities. No body of water was observed during time of inspection. The facility has sufficient toys and equipment available. CONTINUED ON PAGE 2
