25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Saraliz Velando, conducted an announced Pre-Licensing Inspection. LPA was greeted at the front door by Odranise Jules and granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the purpose of her visit. Marie Pierre provided translating service. The applicant has applied for a capacity of eight (8). The home consists of four (4) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms. The applicant will be using the following areas for daycare: Kitchen, Room 1, Bathroom 1, and Backyard. Off limit areas include: Living room, Room 2, Bathroom 2, Room 3, Room 4, and Front yard and have been made inaccessible by doorknob covers and safety gate. Outdoor play area is fenced will take place with constant supervision. Business Hours are Monday through Sunday, 8am to 10pm. An overall inspection of the home was conducted. The home has a functioning smoke alarm and fire extinguisher that meet statutory requirements. There is no carbon monoxide detector. There is a heater in the home is screened to prevent access by children. Storage areas for poisons, detergents, cleaning solutions, medications, and items which state keep out of reach of children have been locked, latched, and made inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water at the unit. Applicant stated there are no weapons or ammunition stored on the premises. The home is kept clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The home provides safe toys, play equipment and materials. The licensee has completed training on preventive health practices including pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on April 2024.
