32 | Applicants were reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Applicants will be using the following rooms for childcare: living room, living room #2, kitchen and bathroom #1. Off limits areas include: bedroom #1, bedroom #2 and bedroom #3 which includes a smaller bathroom #2 and are inaccessible through the use of door-knob covers and door locks. The garage will also be off limits and is kept inaccessible through the use of a door knob cover. The backyard and front yards are off-limits. Applicants stated they will take the children to a nearby park for outdoor activities and understand that visual supervision is required at all times for outdoor activities at the park.
LPA provided packet with information regarding safe sleep, LIC311D Forms records to keep in your family child care homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records and information to be posted. LPA advised applicants to review the material and when LPA comes back once pool corrections are made – the material will be further reviewed together if there are any questions.
Incidental Medical services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
