25 | On December 23, 2024, at 10:03 AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sherlynn Banas conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the Licensee. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Mohammad Samadi and provided the Inspection Checklist (LIC126). Habiba Samadi, wife was present. Also present were 3 minor children of licensee. The home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. No daycare children were present at the time of inspection. Licensee stated he has 16 enrolled children. The fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide, and smoke detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. The hours of operation are from 8:00 AM. to 11:00 PM. from Monday to Friday. The home is a rental property.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare include the living room 1, living room 2, dining room, kitchen, backyard, bedroom 1, bedroom 2 and the 2 bathrooms. Off limits areas include bedroom 3 and is inaccessible with a doorknob safety cover. Bedroom 1 will be used as an isolation area when a child is sick. There is a working phone at the facility. The licensee has sufficient age appropriate, safe, toys and equipment available. Property owner/Landlord notification and consent were on file.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in January 2026. Licensee meets immunization requirements. Mandated Reporter Training has expired. Required documents are posted. Emergency drills have been conducted. The last fire drill was conducted on November 19, 2024.
Provider is hereby reminded of the following: Report suspected child abuse and neglect, maintain children’s records according to regulation, corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, and jumpers are not allowed in day care. All equipment that is used should be used only as intended by the manufacturer. LPA and Licensee discussed California Megan's Law and LPA provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov. LPA Banas reviewed Covid-19 guidelines with Licensee and provided Covid-19 resources.
