25 | On November 18, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hector Canton conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for the purpose of approving a capacity increase request from maximum capacity of 6 to 14, and delivering an amended report from a previous visit conducted on October 8, 2025. Upon arrival, LPA met with the licensee and explained the purpose of the visit, provided identification, and was granted entry.
The fire clearance for the large license was granted on November 7, 2025. LPA conducted a tour of the facility. The child care areas include the living room, dining room/area, and the kitchen. Areas made off-limits include the garage, the backyard, and the second floor, which includes all the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and were made inaccessible using child locks and child gates. Adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation were observed throughout the licensed areas of the home. The licensee maintained the home in a clean and orderly condition. A working telephone was available for use in case of emergency and all emergency exits were clear of obstruction.
Because the licensee rents/leases the home, proof of landlord consent is required. The LPA observed the Property Owner Landlord Notification form (LIC 9151) that the applicant confirms was provided to the property owner/landlord. The licensee obtained the signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC 9149).
Upon final review of the licensee’s application for change of capacity a new license for the capacity of 14 may be granted and sent for posting. No deficiencies cited at this time. Exit interview was conducted, the report was reviewed, and appeal rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must be posted for 30 days.
