25 | On 01/07/25 at 9:30AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Torres Gonzalez, conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection for Capacity increase with the Licensee. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee Hossaini Nasima The 2-story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. The home appears to be large enough to comfortably accommodate 14 children. Fire clearance was received on 11/21/24. The fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detector, and smoke detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water in the home. However, there is a hot tub/spa in the back patio on the ground properly secured, meets regulations and is complying. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. CPR and First Aid expire on 02/2026 Preventative health practices course was completed on 01/26/22 which includes lead poison prevention training. Mandated reporter training was completed on 12/07/23 and expires on 12/07/25 Staff immunization requirements were met. Required documents have been posted. The applicant has toys and equipment available.
Licensee will be using the following rooms for childcare: Livingroom, dinning room, kitchen, room 2, bathroom 2 and patio daycare. Off limits areas include: Second floor level, back and side yard. Are inaccessible through the use of doorknob covers. The garage will also be off limits and is kept inaccessible through the use door lock and doorknob cover, the fireplace is screened, and staircase is barricaded. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities.
The licensee provided proof of control of property.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
