| Facility is currently licensed to care for 20 children in classroom #1. Director recently submitted a capacity increase application requesting to have 44 children by adding room #5 and #6 located upstairs next to the office. Classroom #6 measures to be 516.94 square feet and classroom #5 measured to be 514.19 square feet and classroom #1 was previously measured to be 722.30 square feet. The total indoor activity space for the preschool is 1753.43 square feet which is sufficient for up to 50 children. The new pre-k #2 playground measured to be 911.74 square feet which is sufficient to have up to 12 children and the existing pre-k #1 playground that has a large play structure (recommended for ages 3-10 year old) was previously measured to be 1414.62 square feet which is sufficient to have up to 18 children. Director has a barrier gate that surrounds the large play structure when children under 3 year old are outside at the pre-k #1 playground. The total outdoor playground have sufficient space to accommodate up to 30 children. The new classrooms and playground has age appropriate furniture and equipment. The new classrooms was approved by the fire department and a clearance for 44 children was approved on 06/28/2023. An outdoor playground waiver was submitted to LPA during today's inspection.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
