On 08/13/2021 at 10:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Facility Representatives, Doreen Mulz (Assistant Executive Director) and Gloria Sanchez (Center Director for the Farragut site). A tour of the entire facility was conducted. The Preschool Program will operate in the following classrooms: Classroom 1, Classroom 2 and Classroom 3. Fire clearance was granted on 08/03/2021. All indoor and outdoor activity space was measured. Classroom 1 measures at approximately at 529.87 sq. ft. Classroom 2 measures at approximately at 526.56 sq. ft. Classroom 3 measures at approximately at 539.05 sq. ft. The total indoor play space measured at approximately 1,595.48 sq. ft., which will accommodate a total of 45 children. The total preschool outdoor play space measured at approximately 4,500.74 sq. ft. which will accommodate a total of 60 children at one time. When LPA inspected the outdoor playground, LPA observed trees and canopies used for shade. Area is fenced per regulation, has age appropriate play equipment, and sufficient turf matting for cushioning under the slides and climbing structure. Drinking water is readily accessible via water bottles and refillable water station. LPA observed all indoor play space to be complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. There are a total of total of 3 toilets (sufficient for 45 children) and 6 sinks (sufficient for 90 children) available for the children. Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the bathroom and under direct visual observation. There is a staff restroom located past the church "stage" across from the kitchen. The Director's office and staff restroom will be the isolation area for children who are ill. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located in Classroom 1. Sign-in area is located in front of the side playground near the parking lot. All COVID-19 posters are posted. COVID-19 self-assessment guide was received and reviewed during inspection. Ms. Mulz was reminded to keep anything that reads, “Keep Out of Reach of Children” to be inaccessible to children. Ms. Mulz is reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. See 809-C for continuation...
