On 08/10/2021 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao, conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Preschool Operations Supervisor Kristie Spillane and Site Director Regan Hartman. The Preschool Program will operate in classroom 25 serving children ages 2-3. First Aid Kit is kept in the classroom out of reach of children. Medications will be stored in locked cabinet in the classroom. Fire clearance was granted on 07/09/2021.

All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected and measured today:
Indoor:
· Room 25 measures 766.94 square feet, which will accommodate a total of 21 children.
Outdoor:
· Enclosed black top area measures 3465.59 square feet, which will accommodate no more than 46 children at one time.

The room is complete with age-appropriate (2-3 year old) furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. There are a total of 2 toilets and 2 sinks available for children, one is located inside the classroom and another one is located in the girls restroom located across the playground. Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the bathroom and direct visual observation is required. There is a separate bathroom for staff located by the front office and for use by children who are ill. There is an operating carbon monoxide detector on site located in the classroom. Children will be bringing their own snacks and lunch to school. Lunch could be purchase through the school district as well. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the classroom. Menu will be posted once it's available on the PUSD website. The classroom has all required documents posted. Sign-in sheet is located by the entrance of the classroom.

The outdoor play area was inspected. LPA observed one enclosed playground for preschool children and infants to be share by scheduling. Areas are completely fenced, have trees, building and E-Z ups for shade, age appropriate play equipment, and the playground is located on a concrete black top. Drinking water is readily accessible by bringing portable water when children are inside and outside the classroom.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed California Megan's Law: www.meganslaw.ca.gov.

The district employees shall have a criminal record clearance and be associated to the PUSD designated Rolling Hills Elementary School Preschool facility number 376700093 prior to having a presence in the Center. Child Care Providers can now sign up for Quarterly Updates and PINS through the DSS website www.ccld.ca.gov.

Outdoor waiver is needed for the preschool and infant children to share the playground by scheduling prior to granting a license. This report shall be kept available at the facility for public review for 3 years.
