32 | The classrooms are equipped with age appropriate furniture and equipment for the children in care.
The children will be sharing the playground with the TK children by scheduling. There is a large shade structure above the sand box and trees at the playground area. There is rubber cushioning under and around the climbing structure. Licensee representative stated that the children will bring their water bottle to the program during indoor and outdoor activities. There are a total of 3 toilets and 3 sinks, which is sufficient for 45 children. The children will continue to be escorted and supervised to and from the restroom including the playground to ensure visual supervision of the children.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. A fire clearance for 40 children was received and approved on 7/06/2022. Facility appears to be within substantial compliance during today’s inspection.
The following is needed prior to granting a capacity increase:
- Obtain a fire clearance for 44 children serving children ages 2-4
- Facility representative will need to submit a waiver to share the playground with the TK children by scheduling
- Facility representative will submit a waiver for the 2 year old to share the infant playground by scheduling
- Obtain the manufacture age recommendation for the TK red play structure
Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee representative Kristie Spillane. A notice of site visit was posted during today’s inspection.
