On 08/07/2023 at 10:01am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted a case management inspection for the purpose of room change. LPA met with Kristie Spillane/Preschool Operations Supervisor and Site Director Huyen Pham. No children are in care as the Poway Unified School District is on summer break and the children will return to care on 08/16/2023.

The Preschool Program is licensed to operates in the classrooms #25 and #26. Facility representative has submitted an application to add the Preschool classroom in place of classroom #26.

LPA Siao remeasured the Preschool classroom and it measures to be 798.66 square feet. Room #25 was previously measures to be 766.95 square feet. The new total indoor activity space is 1565.61 square feet which is sufficient to care for up to 44 children. There are a total of 3 sinks and 3 toilets available for the preschool children. One of the toilet and sink is located near the black top playground.

There are two outdoor areas for the children in care, the two year old children share the black top fenced playground with the infants. The preschool children ages 3 and 4 year old shares the playground with the TK children. The TK playground with red play structure was previously measured to be 5490.88 square feet, which can accommodate up to 73 children. There is an approved outdoor waiver for the 2 year old preschool children to share the Infant blacktop playground with the infants. A waiver is needed for the preschool children 3 and older to share the playground with the TK children.

The fire clearance for the room change was granted on 07/26/2023. The changes will take effect upon approval of the outdoor share playground.
