On 08/10/2021 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao, conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Preschool Operations Supervisor Kristie Spillane and Site Director Regan Hartman. The Infant Program will operate in the following classrooms: room #23 (6wks to 1 year old) and preschool room (1-2 year old). The crib area is located in room #23. First Aid Kit is kept in the classroom out of reach of children. Medications will be stored in a locked cabinet in the child's classroom. Fire clearance was granted on 07/09/2021.

The infant indoor activity space are physically separate from the space used by other day care children. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the infants was inspected and measured today.

Indoor:
· Room 23 measures 291.57 square feet
· Preschool Room measures 661.13 square feet
· Total indoor activity space is 952.70 square feet, which will accommodate a total of 27 children.

Outdoor:
· Enclosed black top area measures 3465.59 square feet, which will accommodate no more than 46 children at one time.

The rooms are complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including cubbies, napping cots/cribs and other activity supplies for the children. There is a separate crib area partitioned from the activity area in room 23. The crib area was not included in the square footage. There are currently 10 cribs in the napping area.

Cots are also available for children over age 12 months. Visual observation to all infants shall be maintained at all times. The infant room currently includes 1 sink for food preparation and 2 sink for diaper changing. Each room has a sink and toilet for children. There is a refrigerator in each infant room. The ratio in this room will be 1:4. Sign-in sheet is located by the entrance of each classroom.

The outdoor play area was inspected. It is complete with age-appropriate play equipment, there are trees, building and EZ ups use as shade. Strollers are available for the young infants. Drinking water is readily accessible via portable drinking water.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed California Megan's Law and provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov.

The district employees shall have a criminal record clearance and be associated to the PUSD designated Rolling Hills Elementary School Preschool facility number 376700093 prior to having a presence in the Center. Child Care Providers can now sign up for Quarterly Updates and PINS through the DSS website www.ccld.ca.gov.

An outdoor playground waiver will be submitted prior to granting a license. This report shall be kept available at the facility for public review for 3 years.
