On 08/08/2022 at 2:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an announced case management inspection today. LPA met with Kristie Spillane/Preschool Operations Supervisor. No children are in care as the Poway Unified School District is on summer break and the children will return to care on 08/15/2022.

The Infant Program operates in the following classrooms: room #23 (6wks to 1 year old) and preschool room (#24) (1-2 year old). The crib area is located in room #23.

The infant indoor activity space are physically separate from the space used by other day care children. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the infants was previously inspected and measured. Facility representative has requested to add a new outdoor activity area for the infants to use located at the TK playground area.

The additional outdoor enclosed area is 300 square feet which therefore is sufficient for 4 infants at a time. The current licensed outdoor area is an enclosed black top area previously measures 3465.59 square feet, which will accommodate no more than 46 children at one time.

Picture of the new enclosed area will be submitted to LPA. Facility representative will submit pictures of the newly purchased cushioning and shades upon received of the equipment.
  • Facility representative will submit a waiver for the 2 year old preschool children to share the infant enclosed outdoor play area by scheduling.
