On 5/9/24 at 12:00pm LPA Patrick Ma made an unannounced complaint visit for the complaint received on 4/24/24 for the purpose of continuing the investigation and delivering finding of the above reference allegation.

Based on sign-in sheets from 4/15/24 – 4/19/24 and weekly staff scheduled, appropriate supervision ratios were met as aides are permitted to supervise napping/resting children at double the ratio per Title 22, Section 101230(c)(1) “An aide who is 18 years of age or older…may supervise 24 napping children…” Fully qualified staff take staggered lunch breaks to ensure a fully qualified staff and Director is available at the facility to assist aides if multiple children begin to wake. Investigation interviews also provide support statements that Director and another fully qualified teacher are also available to provide class support during nap time if children begin to wake up and get off their mats. Classroom observations during investigation visits on 4/26/24 and 5/9/24 also observed fully qualified staff and Director available to assist aides during nap.
