25 | On 10/24/24, LPA (Licensing Program Analyst) Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by the Director, Karyne Begin. LPA toured the facility with the director and observed 7 infants and 4 staff present today. The licensee has not exceeded the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license.
The furniture and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. The Infant Room 4 was at a comfortable temperature. All foods and beverages are labeled/dated and stored per regulations in the infant room refrigerator. Infant/bedding napping equipment is sufficient and meets regulatory requirements.
Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary, and good operating condition. All storage containers or trash cans containing solid waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. Infant changing tables have padded, washable vinyl at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation and are within arm’s reach of a sink. All staff at the facility has current CPR and First Aid certification on file. Medications and emergency bags with first aid kits are inaccessible to children in the classrooms. However, there are no infants that require medications at this time. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. The carbon monoxide detector is operational and meets regulations. LPA reviewed the electronic sign in/out with full signatures on their Brightwheel App, a sample of children's records, and a sample of staff records. Infant sleep logs are kept current and maintained for 3 years.
Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are inaccessible. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets, handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. The facility was observed to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors.
