25 | On 11/24/2021 at 10:16am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Center Director/Applicant, Holly Weber. The Infant Program (ages 12-24 months) will operate in "Infant Room 1." Facility has a fire clearance that was granted on 10/25/2021. LPA toured the facility per facility sketch.
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the infant children were inspected and measured during inspection. The infant indoor play space measured at approximately 426 sq. ft., which will accommodate a total of 12 children. The outdoor playground area that Applicant stated she would like to utilize measured at approximately 997.26 sq. ft., which will accommodate the requested capacity. The play areas for the infants and preschoolers were observed to be physically separate. When LPA inspected the outdoor playground, LPA’s observed trees and canopies used for shade. Area has a solid concrete fence surrounding the perimeter of the entire infant and preschool playground. The fencing that surrounds the infant side is shy of 4 ft. (by 5 inches), however has age appropriate play equipment, and sufficient turf for cushioning under the slides and climbing structures. Drinking water is readily accessible via sippy cups and refillable water jugs.
LPA observed all indoor play space to be complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. There is one changing table within an arm’s reach of a sink located in the room. Refrigerator is located in the kitchen area where all food preparation will take place. Infant needs and services plan are going to be located in a binder in the room and are to be updated on a quarterly basis. There are no cribs due to the facility only accepting children that can sleep on a napping cot (per plan of operation). There is also one two potty chairs available for the children. |
