25 | On 04/12/2022 at 11:31am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Applicant, Joanne Paz. The infant program (ages 6 weeks-24 months) will operate in the following rooms: 2, 3, 11 and 16. A temporary fire clearance was granted on 04/08/2022 for 32 children and will expire on October 1, 2022 (pending voice evacuation for fire alarm). Applicant stated during the inspection that she would like to do a last minute capacity change to only care for 20 children. First Aid Kit is located in the hallway between the utility closet and and Room 6. Medications will be stored in the director's office. The facility also houses an preschool program on site.
All indoor activity areas were measured and inspected today. Room 2 measured at 444.84 sq. ft., Room 11 measured at 396.81 sq. ft. and Room 16 measured at 728.78 sq. ft. All infant indoor activity space measured at a approximately 1,670.43 sq. ft. sufficient for 44 children. All rooms are complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, napping mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Facility currently does not an outdoor play area. Facility is requesting that Room 3 be utilized as an indoor playground which measures at approximately 901.4 sq. ft. (sufficient for 12 children at one time). Facility is requesting for 20 children. An indoor playground waiver shall be requested and approved prior to licensure. There are total of 3 sinks, 3 potty chairs for children who are potty training and 3 changing tables. The staff bathroom stall (with 1 toilet) and staff sink will be designated for use by children who are ill. There is not a carbon monoxide detector on site. The kitchen area currently includes a sink, 1 refrigerator, 1 dishwasher, 1 microwave, 1 toaster and storage units. The menu and required postings are not posted. Sign in and out will be located in the front lobby area located in front of Room 12. Drinking water is readily accessible via water stations and water bottles. Room 11 is designated for infants 6 weeks-12 months, which has a crib area that currently has 8 cribs, however does not have a partition in place to divide it from the activity space. Room has a sink and changing table within arms reach and has a refrigerator for bottles. |
