On 8/13/24 at 11:10AM LPA Patrick Ma made an unannounced visit to initiate an investigation, for the complaint received on 8/5/24, regarding the above allegation. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Coralito Garcia and explained purpose of visit. Present at the facility were 21 daycare children and 3 staff in 2 rooms. LPA toured the facility, conducted staff interviews, and made a confidential names list.
Based on the information obtained during investigation interviews it is determined that staff S1 brought their school age child to the facility 2-4x per week over the past 2-3 months and remained in the preschool classroom for up to 8 hours. Facility is not licensed for School Aged children. This is a violation of California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1) Section 101161(a): A licensee shall not operate a child care center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation.
The allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence has been met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. The deficiency is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Coralito Garcia. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
