32 | LPA observed Classroom 5 to be set up for younger preschoolers and Ms. Lucy stated this classroom will be utilized as a "worship" room only. The janitor and kitchen door in Classroom 3 was observed locked during time of inspection, making it inaccessible to children. The two exit doors that lead directly to the parking lot is still easily accessible and has no alarm system (per Ms. Lucy's original statement). Ms. Lucy stated she will purchase to alarm system and install it and send a video to LPA of it operational. The green climbing structure was removed from the preschool playground. The cubbies that were located in Classrooms 2, and 4 were either removed or placed outside in the hallway. LPA reminded that no cubbies shall be placed within these classrooms unless it is off the ground (i.e. hooks, floating shelves) so that no square footage is taken out. LPA obtained updated outdoor sketch from Ms. Lucy during time of inspection. LPA observed all outlets within the classrooms that were not in use, had outlet covers. LPA measured outdoor fencing that was initially observed to be less than 4ft. and was now observed to be at least 4ft. or higher, making it in compliance with Title 22 regulation.
LPA observed the above corrections to be completed during inspection. The following corrections were discussed and needed to be corrected prior to licensure; make the hallway restroom (toilet and sink) appropriate for children, place alarms on both exit doors in Classroom 3, and either remove or mount the cubbies on the wall in Classroom 1. Ms. Lucy stated she will provide LPA proof of corrections no later than 01/26/24.
Once all remaining corrections are obtained, reviewed and after conducting a final file review, a preschool license for 80 preschool children (ages 2 to Kindergarten) in Classrooms 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 may be granted. Ms. Lucy understands that this report shall be kept available at the facility for public review for 3 years. |
