25 | On 03/28/2024 at 9:40am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection for a Change of Ownership. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representatives, Drake Oswald (Operations Director) and Tantiani Budiman (Center Director). Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 124 preschoolers (ages 2 to entry/attending of kindergarten including TK) in classrooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Hours of operation will be Monday thru Friday, 7am-6pm.
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Facility Representatives that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their overall health and safety. When medications are on site, Facility Representatives stated that they are kept in a locked cabinet located in the office. A fully equipped first aid kit is located in the meeting room and in each classroom. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located in the office. All required licensing documents were observed posted in the main office. Children will be signed in and out in the office area via electronic system called Brightwheel.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 5,806.59 sq. ft., which is sufficient to accommodate the requested overall capacity of 124 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via refillable water jugs and water bottles. Facility had their water tested on October 17, 2023, and no lead exceedance was found. LPA obtained a copy of the results during time of inspection. |
