On 07/23/24 at 12:35pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Tomeka Williams. Licensee is requesting to be licensed for 125 children including 24 infants ages 0-2 years old in the purple room, 77 preschool children ages 2 to 5 years old in the Blue, Red, Green and Yellow rooms. Facility is requesting to add 24 school age children ages 5 to 12 years old in the Orange room. Hours of operation is Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm. Present during today’s inspection were 47 children during nap time supervised by 7 members. Appropriate ratios were observed for the infant and preschool components. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children were toured today. LPA informed Tomeka Williams that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility indoor and outdoor activity space. Total Infant indoor activity space was previously measured to be 842.66 square feet for the Infant Purple Room and 2727.84 square feet for the Preschool rooms Blue, Red, Green and Yellow and 996.13 square feet for the School Age Orange room. The Orange room is set up with age-appropriate furniture for school age children. All the indoor activity spaces are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 125 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via an Igloo water dispenser and the facility gets the water from the kitchen sink filtered system. There are 8 cribs in the crib area available for young infants. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 06/25/2024.

LPA observed a total of 2 sinks located within the arms reach of the changing table available for infants. There are 10 sinks and 9 toilets for preschool children's use. There is a women and men's restroom with a total of 4 sinks, 3 toilet and 1 urinal for school age children's use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 125 children.

The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area for the school age children. The chain link fence is at least four feet high. The total square footage for the school age outdoor activity space is 2527.86 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 24 school age children. Shade is provided via canopies and trees. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground for the school age children. There is a no climbing structure on the school age playground. Drinking water is available via Igloo water dispenser. Director was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.

The following corrections are needed prior to the issuance of the capacity increase:



· The back school age outdoor area needs to be clean up and be free of hazard for children to play.
· The back school age area fence gate shall be locked to ensure children's safety.
· Submit the tuition fee for the infant, preschool and school age component to LPA.

Director understands that all proof of corrections must be provided to the Department within 14 days, or the application may be denied.
