25 | On 11/18/2024 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao conducted an announced follow up Pre-Licensing change of ownership inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Applicant Sabriya Bayati-Pedretti and Site Director Monique Reycasa.
The purpose of today’s inspection is to remeasure the infant yard modification and to remeasure all the preschool classrooms. During today’s inspection LPA remeasured all four of the preschool classrooms #1, #2, #7 and #8, the total preschool indoor activity space measured to be 4098.68 square feet and it is only sufficient for 117 children. There are 10 sinks and 9 toilets available for the preschool component. The preschool outdoor activity space was measured on 10/29/2024 to be 10565.78 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. The infant indoor classrooms 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 were previously measured to be 2443.40 square feet and it is sufficient for the requested capacity. Facility has a total of 18 cribs available for young infants. There are 6 sinks and 1 toilet available for the infant component. LPA remeasured the infant yard area due to the extension and the total infant outdoor activity space measured to be 2460.22 square feet and it is only sufficient to accommodate 32 infants. Director submitted an outdoor playground waiver during today’s inspection.
During today’s inspection, applicant also submitted an application requesting to be licensed for 69 infants (ages 0 to 24 months) in classrooms 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9. In addition, applicant is also requesting to be license for 117 preschool children (ages 2 to kindergarten) in classrooms 1,2,7 and 8. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.
The following items will be needed prior to granting a license for 69 infants and 117 preschool children.
· Obtain an approved infant outdoor playground waiver by the department.
· Obtain a fire clearance approved by the San Diego Fire Department for the updated capacity.
