32 | Based on the information obtained and pertinent interviews conducted, LPA was unable to corroborate allegation as there were no eyewitnesses to the incident and was unable to gather any evidence. In addition, after speaking with the complainant, LPA was unable to obtain further details of the incident, including names and/or details of the date it occurred, and who specifically was involved. Due to a lack of information, LPA was unable to interview the child in question and could not confirm that the incident occurred.
The second allegation is that the staff yelled at a child. Based on the information obtained and pertinent interviews conducted with staff, LPA was unable to gather pertinent information regarding the name of the child and/or when it occurred. LPA noted that staff have a tendency to speak in a loud voice while in class, but confirmed that they did so while directing children from across the room and was common practice to get their attention. In addition, LPA confirmed that there were no eyewitnesses to the incident and was therefore unable to gather evidence of the allegation involving the child.
The third allegation is that the staff commingled children from preschool and infant care. Based on the information obtained and pertinent interviews conducted with staff, LPA noted that facility does not commingle children in any of the classrooms. LPA was informed that if the census was low in any of the preschool classrooms, that the classrooms were combined together, but always maintained ratio and none of the other classrooms were commingled at any point of the operational hours of the facility, especially if they were from different age groups. Based on a lack of pertinent information, LPA was unable to corroborate allegation as there were no eyewitnesses to the incident and could not verify when it occurred.
LPA Habeebulla concluded that there was not enough corroborating evidence obtained during the investigation on all the three allegations. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
An exit interview was conducted, a Notice of Site Visit posted, and a copy of this report was provided to the facility on this date and time. |
