25 | On September 12, 2022 at 1:30 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessica Rubio arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. Present during this inspection were: Applicant Shiva Atoufian. The home is a one story home with 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home, with an attached garage. LPA toured the facility, inside and out with Applicant Shiva Atoufian and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Per Applicant, off-limit areas include: Living room, kitchen, Bedroom 2, Bedroom 3, laundry room, garage and part of the backyard. There is a gate separating the daycare area from the rest of the off-limit areas, making them inaccessible to children.
· Normal hours of operation will be: Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.
· Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested by the applicant during this inspection and were in working order.
· There is central heating and air conditioning.
· The fire extinguisher is located in the hallway, fully charged and met standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
· All hazardous items were observed to be inaccessible. Storage of poisons and toxins are inaccessible to children and in an off-limit area. Sharp items including kitchen knives, are inaccessible and stored in a drawer in the off-limit kitchen area. Medicines are locked and stored in a high cabinet in the off-limit kitchen area.
· First Aid Kit is located in daycare room 2, on a shelf, and contains all required items.
· No guns or weapons are stored in the facility as of this date as stated by Applicant. Applicant understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations.
· Clean, safe and age appropriate toys were observed.
· LPA observed a working telephone. |
