32 | Additionally, each witness relayed that their children’s clothing is laundered while at the day care if their children make a mess or have an accident. 3 of 3 staff interviews revealed that it is policy for staff to change diapers before the children leave for the day.
It was alleged that staff do not ensure that children’s faces are clean when they are picked up by their parents. LPA interviewed 3 of 3 witnesses, and all stated that their children have never been picked up with dirty faces. Additionally, 2 of 3 witnesses raved about the cleanliness of their children upon pickup.
It was alleged that staff refuse parents entrance to the facility if they are not wearing a mask. 3 of 3 parents interviewed stated they’ve never been refused entry to the facility for not wearing a mask. Additionally, LPA made observations on 03/05/2024, and neither LPA nor the parent that LPA followed in, were denied access for not wearing a mask. LPA observed several parents within the facility entering and exiting without a mask and none were denied access. Staff interviews revealed that due to a concern over possible exposure to Respiratory Syncytial Virus, parents were encouraged to wear masks, but no parent interviewed relayed that they were refused entry to the facility.
Based upon interviews, LPA observations and a review of facility records the above allegations are found to be unsubstantiated. A finding of UNSUBSTANTIATED means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur.
