25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Gerth conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection for a large family childcare at the above home on 09/26/2025 at 12:00 PM. LPA met with Applicant Princess Raines, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There was 01 child present when LPA arrived. Applicant is applying for a large child care license. Per Applicant, hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Applicant states they will provide care for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
This is a two-story home consisting of a front porch with 2 separate entrance doors, 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a formal living room, office, main kitchen, formal dining room, 2 car garage, 1 car storage garage, laundry room, a daycare activity/nap room, a daycare activity/lunch room with a kitchenette, front yard, side yard and backyard. The home was inspected for safety, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are kept in the off limits 2 car garage, which is a key locked door.
Areas used by children include: Daycare entrance, daycare activity/nap room, daycare lunch/activity room, and daycare bathroom. Areas off limits include: Foyer Entrance to home, All bedrooms, entire 2nd floor, 5 bathrooms, main kitchen, office, formal living and dining room, 1 car storage garage, 2 car garage, front, side and backyard.
Off limit areas are made inaccessible by child door proof locks, baby gates and child safe door knob covers. Knives and other sharp utensils are locked in the main off kitchen cabinets and drawers and atop the kitchenette refrigerator. Cleaning products are made inaccessible with child proof cabinet locks.
The home is clean, neat, and orderly, there are outlet covers throughout the home. Smoke/carbon monoxide detector was observed, tested by applicant, and found to be operable. Next Page |
