25 | On 9/12/23 at 2:30 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Adrian Mangina and Sherlynn Banas conducted an announced case management inspection. The purpose of the visit was in reference to the licensee’s request for a temporary relocation due to flooding. LPAs met with Assistant Director Erica Rocha. There were no children in care as facility closed 9/3/23. An incident report was submitted verbally on 9/5/23 and in writing on 9/6/23.
An emergency request was made on 9/6/23 to allow up to 40 children from existing preschool rooms #2,#5, and #6 to temporarily utilize the Youth Room and Sun Room in the main sanctuary. Fire clearance was requested on 9/11/23.
LPAs inspected the Youth Room and Sun Room. The rooms have not yet been set up for children. Assistant Director was advised that the classrooms will need to be furnished for children before a final inspection can be conducted. During the visit Licensee was advised rooms must be equipped with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping equipment and shelves. Rooms must have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation, snack menu and all required documents posted. Sign-ins will take place outside Youth room.
There are eight toilets, 2 urinals, and 5 sinks available to preschool children located in two bathrooms in the hallway outside the Youth and Sun Rooms for exclusive use by preschoolers during preschool hours. Children will be escorted to the bathrooms and supervised by staff.
