On 5/24/24 at 8:30am, LPA Patrick Ma made an unannounced complaint visit for the complaint received on 4/19/24 for the purpose of continuing the investigation and delivering findings on the above reference allegations. LPA met with Director, Lindsay Sweet. LPA conducted staff interviews and observed classrooms.

Based on the information obtained during interviews, observations, and documentation reviewed it is determined that there is insufficient evidence to show inappropriate discipline was used on children. During classroom observations on 4/26/24, 5/14/24, and 5/24/24, staff was observed using appropriate discipline techniques with children by offered redirection, positive reinforcement, and talking with them at their level. Also, interviews conducted provided insufficient evidence children are physically disciplined, food is withheld as a form of discipline, or terms such as “pow-pow” were used at the facility as threats.
