25 | On 10/09/2025 at 12:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst, Hanna Lucas, made an unannounced visit for the purpose of annual inspection. LPA met with the Director, Lindsay Sweet. There were 54 children present with 7 teachers, and 1 aide, in 4 rooms. Facility is within ratio and capacity.
LPA toured the facility. The rooms were clean and in a comfortable temperature during the visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. All required forms were posted on the front entry wall. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, and age appropriate. There is a variety of activities provided throughout the day. The preschool playground is fully fenced and separate from other programs with age-appropriate play equipment. On the playground there is sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. Drinking water is available at all times, as staff ensures that each child has their own personal water bottle. Water bottles are refilled by each classroom’s water jug. Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is the front office.
The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. The children’s food is stored in the kitchen, which is clean and orderly. There is no expired or contaminated food present. The food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products. The menu is posted on the classroom hallway, changes are recorded, and the menus are stored for 30 days. Napping/bedding equipment is stored separately from the children’s play area. Each child has their own cot and blankets that are labeled. Cots are sanitized regularly, and the children’s blankets are sent home with the parent, every Friday, to wash thoroughly. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary, and operating condition.
