On March 1, 2023 at 10:20 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessica Rubio arrived at the facility to conduct an inspection for an increase in capacity from 72 children to a requested capacity of 92 children. LPA met with Director Aunica Defalco. LPA measured the additional classroom (Pre-K) as well as the current classrooms (Discovery A Preschool, Discovery B Preschool and Preschool).

Measurements were taken and the following was determined:
Indoor Activity Areas - Pre-K, Discovery A Preschool, Discovery B Preschool and preschool classrooms.
LPA has determined that there is sufficient space to accommodate the requested 92 children.

Outdoor Activity Area - Preschool/Pre-K Yard and Discovery Preschool Yard Playgrounds
LPA has determined that there is sufficient space to accommodate 88 children. LPA informed Director she must submit a waiver for a rotating playground schedule to ensure there are not too many children on the playground at one time. Director agreed she will submit the waiver.

There are 8 toilets and 14 sinks to accommodate 92 children.

Limiting factor for capacity is outdoor activity area. Fire clearance was granted 1/31/2023. Licensee's capacity is limited to 92 children, once a waiver is submitted and approved.

An exit interview was conducted, appeal rights were discussed and a copy of this report will be provided to Director Aunica Defalco. A notice of site visit will also be provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
