On 8/1/23 at 9:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Patrick Ma conducted an announced Case Management – Licensee Initiated inspection regarding capacity increase. Upon arrival, LPA met with Site Supervisor, Dayna Whitty, Association Program Specialist of Child & Youth Development, Lucelyna Godwin, and Director, Margaret Giuffre. There were no enrolled children present, school was on summer break.

Application requesting to add rooms B-28, Room 13, and increase capacity was received on 7/6/23. Fire Inspection clearance was received on 7/24/23.

Rooms B-23, B-28, 20, 13, auditorium and cafeteria were inspected. All rooms used will not exceed maximum capacity allowed per Fire Marshall requirements, and overflow will utilize outdoor space or the auditorium and/or cafeteria. Outdoor capacity is not affected. Ratios must always be maintained.

There were sufficient age-appropriate furnishings, toys, books and games available, and no hazards were noted in any of the rooms. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition behind the bungalow rooms, in Room 13, and throughout the school.

No deficiency observed during the visit. Capacity increase is granted effective today.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representatives Dayna Whitty, Lucelyna Godwin, and Margaret Giuffre. A notice of site visit was given to facility representatives and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
