25 | On 11/02/2022 at 3:01pm., Licensing Program Analyst, Samantha Clenista conducted an annual random inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Monica Oates, and proceeded to tour the facility. LPA observed a total of 18 children with a total of 2 staff members. Children were observed playing on the basketball court. Appropriate ratio, capacity and supervision was observed. School age program currently operates in the following rooms: shooting stars, panda, drop in room and TV room.
Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation. Drinking water is readily accessible via waters jug and water bottles. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathrooms are well lit and have ventilation. Food service area consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards. Menu is posted. Adequate food is available for snacks. Cleaning supplies are kept separate from food. Storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers and are kept in good repair. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers at 45 F or less. The facility appears to be free of insects and rodents. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector at the facility located in the TV room.
The outdoor areas that the school-age children are currently approved for using are the following: open grass field, basketball court and school-aged playground (see waivers in file). Area has trees and canopies used for shade. Play equipment is age appropriate and in good condition. LPA reminded Director that direct visual supervision of all children shall be maintained at all times. Director stated there are no firearms or weapons on site. There is a total of one swimming pool, 1 in ground wader pool and 2 jacuzzi’s on site located in one big fenced off area located farthest west of the enclosed campus. All licensed areas are located in the middle of the campus. Director is reminded to keep anything that reads "Keep out of Reach of Children" inaccessible to children. |
