13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Lott conducted a complaint investigation visit to deliver findings for the above allegation. LPA was greeted at the front door by Licensee, Sandra George and was granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the reason for her visit.
The Department’s investigation consisted of interviews and record reviews. It is alleged that on or about February 6, 2023, staff handled day care child in a rough manner. Interviews revealed that child #1 (C1) was picked up properly with both hands under the child’s armpits and placed on a bench. Interviews also revealed that C1 was not handled in a rough manner and child was addressed appropriately.
This agency has investigated the complaint alleging staff handled day care child in a rough manner. The Department has found that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Sandra George. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100
