Staff was late to pick up day care children from school

On 5/01/26 at 2:15 PM Licensing Program Analsyt (LPA) J.C. Valdez conducted an unannonced visit to deliver findings, for the complaint received 1/02/26 for the above allegation(s). LPA met with the Vice President of Operations Jennifer Grawvunder. LPA identified himself and disclosed the purpose of the visit. There were 0 staff and 0 children present in 1 classroom.

Based upon interviews with staff, parents and third parties, it was disclosed that the facility was late picking up children from a school several times during the period of August 2025 through Dec 2025. LPA determined that this constitutes a violation of the children’s personal rights. The allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence has been met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED.

See 9099-D for deficiency cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Vice President of Operations Jennifer Grawvunder. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

The Vice President of Operations states that she will conduct a training with all drivers regarding the procedure if drivers willl be late to pick up children for afternoon care. The Vice President of Operaitons will have all attending staff sign the meeting agenda. Vice President of Operations will send proof of the signed agenda to the Department via by 5/04/2026.

Based on interview with third party, it was disclosed that the facility was late picking up children from a school several times during the period of August 2025 through Decemeber 2025, which poses a potential health, safety and personal rights risk to children in care.
